THE CLIENT

Owl Audio specializes in designing and developing wireless headphones tailored for vehicles, with a strong focus on family-friendly features. Drawing from years of experience in the automotive parts industry, their product team identified a need for improved durability, compatibility, fit, and comfort. As a result, they created high-quality audio solutions that meet the unique demands of families on the go.

THE CHALLENGE

Client Goals & Requirements

The client sought a modern and minimalist website to replace their outdated platform, ensuring it aligned with emerging technologies and current UX best practices. Their vision was to create a visually engaging experience where images tell the story rather than text-heavy content.

Additionally, they provided three reference websites that exemplify their design preferences:

🔹 PhoneSoap – Prefers the simple navigation bar, product image depth effects, and feature-focused product pages.
🔹 Apple – Loves the clean, minimalist aesthetic, where text is minimal and images drive storytelling.
🔹 Dave Ramsey – Appreciates the layered design that avoids a boxy layout, making long-form content easy to digest.

Identifying the Pain Points
Through research, I identified three major issues users faced when shopping for Owl Audio’s products:

1️⃣ Cluttered Homepage & Navigation – The previous site made it difficult for users to understand the product benefits at a glance or navigate easily.
2️⃣ Lack of Engaging Product Pages – Product detail pages needed a more compelling layout to highlight key features clearly.
3️⃣ Inconsistent Visual Hierarchy – The design lacked a structured content flow, making it harder for users to digest product information.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

How might we create a clean and intuitive eCommerce experience that makes product discovery effortless while maintaining a visually appealing and engaging layout?

THE SOLUTION

Wireframes

To create a seamless and modern eCommerce experience for Owl Audio, I started by developing wireframes to establish the overall structure, user flow, and content hierarchy. These wireframes served as the foundation for the final UI design, ensuring a clean and intuitive shopping experience. The redesigned interface focuses on clarity, ease of navigation, and visual storytelling, aligning with the client’s vision of a minimalist, photo-driven website.

High-Fidelity Design

The redesigned Owl Audio eCommerce platform delivers a modern, user-friendly experience that simplifies product discovery and enhances purchasing confidence. The homepage engages users with a strong hero section, immersive product imagery, and a clear call-to-action, while a compatibility checker ensures effortless vehicle matching. Customer testimonials and a newsletter sign-up foster trust and long-term engagement. On the product detail page, large visuals, a structured feature breakdown, and well-placed calls-to-action create a seamless shopping journey. By focusing on clarity, ease of navigation, and a frictionless checkout, the design transforms the buying experience into an intuitive and engaging process.
